Most financial aid comes from colleges.
You should focus on college apps and once those are in, begin the hunt for other scholarships.
Scholarships. Doesn’t matter if you get into an amazing school if you can’t afford it. I’ve known people who got into MIT and UPenn but didn’t go because they couldn’t afford it. You do NOT wanting to be taking out student loans if at all possible.
That being said, college apps and scholarships go hand in hand, and often the scholarship apps are higher standard versions of the regular requirements for the college, so I’d say concentrate on a few good schools that you think you’ll get into rather easily.
