I Need A Copy Of My Tax Form To Apply For Financial Aid For College. Is Their A Web Site To Help Me With This?

You really have two options. The quickest is to go to your local IRS office Adan request a transcript. It will not be a photocopy of the return but will list a line by line listing of what was on your return. The colleges will accept this. Find your nearest IRS office below. Second, you can send a request to the IRS for a transcript. The link below is for the Form used for the request.

When I applied for financial aid, I had already filed my taxes for that year and couldn’t find the paperwork. I just went to the office where I had my taxes done (H&R Block) and they printed me a copy–they keep the files in their computer system. The lady said it usually costs $10, but if I agreed to recommend their services she wouldn’t charge me.

Go to http://www.irs.gov and you can call them to mail your forms. Easy enough!
