Concerning Extracurriculars For Scholarships/college?
What sports/clubs/anything should i do to make sure that I get a good scholarship and get into a good college. I want to go to MIT if it matters. As anyone gotten into MIT what should I do to get into it concerning clubs and what classes should I take? It would be great if someone can leave an MSN or someway to communicate with them to ask some more questions.

Well, I didn’t get into MIT. Why would you want to go there? Have you ever seen it? It is a dreary ugly campus in a cold miserable city. I didn’t even apply there. But, if you insist on punishing yourself for four years, I guess I can give you some suggestions as to how to get in. Since MIT is one of the most difficult schools to gain admissions to, you basically need to be the best math/science student in your school, possibly your district. You need to take the hardest classes your school offers and get great grades in them (3.9+ unweighted GPA). That’s the first step. The second step is to set yourself apart from the thousands of other students that completed the first step. How do you do that? It depends. You can take even harder classes (college level classes beyond AP). You can do some amazing extracurricular activities (win the science olympiad, teach math to inner-city children, work in a real lab at a university). You can spend your summers doing math and science stuff (look into the Ross and Promys math camps, as an example). There is not a list of activities that I can give you and you can complete that will guarantee admission. Instead, MIT will be looking for you to demonstrate passion for math and science by going above and beyond what the typical great student does. There are many ways to do that, but you WILL need to find at least one way to set yourself apart. After all, MIT rejects about 90% of the people who apply, and many of them have 4.0 GPAs and near perfect SAT scores. So you need to ask yourself what you can do and what you are willing to do, to set yourself apart. But remember, it will be to your benefit if you pick something that you actually love doing. The more you enjoy it, the better you will do at it. So don’t do things just to get into MIT, it will be less likely to work.
Ok, well, I hope that helped. But again, I don’t understand why you would want to subject yourself to such a cold dreary school. Personally, I attended a much warmer brighter school on the other coast.
I found some info about getting this scholarship online in this scholarship database – careers.scienceontheweb.net
